Mission
The Mission of the Purcell Marian Alumni Association is to ensure the legacy of St. Mary, Regina, Purcell, Marian and Purcell Marian High Schools for all alums; past, present and future. The Alumni Association will work to foster, maintain, and support a mutually beneficial relationship between its members and Purcell Marian High School. The Association will encourage alumni-initiated efforts to build a lifelong community of Cavaliers in order to increase awareness, pride, and participation through fellowship, involvement and philanthropic efforts.
Membership
Graduates of St. Mary High School, Regina High School, Purcell High School, Marian High School and Purcell Marian High School are all automatically, by way of their graduation, members of the Purcell
Marian Alumni Association. The Association boasts one of the largest alumni organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area with over 16,000 members. The Association was founded by the first graduating class of Purcell High School in 1929, under the leadership of Alumni Association President, John Queenan ‘29. Today, under the direction of the Alumni Association Executive Committee, support is provided for alumni engagement activities, social programs, recognition events, communications and information concerning alumni and PMHS, and fund-raising activities.
Become a Class Ambassador!
The role of the class ambassador is to act as your class's special point of contact for all alumni-related activities. All information related to alumni flows back and forth from the class ambassador(s) to the PM Alumni Association and school.
- Be an advocate for Purcell Marian. Spread the good word wherever possible. Keep members of your graduating class up to date on school news and events. Examples include building an email group and sending out links to news stories, forwarding Alumni Association information, inviting to upcoming events, posting on social media.
- Periodically review and update the class list and encourage classmates to update their contact information on https://www.purcellmarian.org/alumni/update-your-information/ . This includes deceased class members, name changes, change of address, phone numbers and most importantly, email addresses.
- Share class news with peers and PMHS - professional and personal accomplishments, births, marriages, retirement, etc.
- Coordinate with the PM Advancement Department when organizing class reunions and/or other class-related events
- Attend 2-3 PM Alumni Association meetings per year. This is where PM news will be made available and where you can share information/advocate on behalf of your class.
