The McDonald’s All American Games announced that Purcell Marian senior Dee Alexander has been selected a 2025 McDonald‘s All American. Alexander will play for the West squad during the prestigious all-star game featuring the top high school basketball players in the country.

She is the first Cavalier to be named a McDonald’s All American.

For several decades, the McDonald's All American Games have showcased the best high school basketball players. Previous participants include Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Candace Parker, A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, and Angel Reese

In her historic career at Purcell Marian, Alexander has been named the 2023 and 2024 Ohio Ms. Basketball and the 2024 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year. She has been part of three OHSAA State Championship teams. She was named to the 2025 Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year Midseason Team and will participate in the USA Basketball Nike Hoop Summit in April in Portland, Oregon.

Alexander will play basketball at the University of Cincinnati.

The 2025 McDonald's All American Games, the 48th edition of the Games, will take place at Barclays Center in New York on April 1. Fans can watch on ESPN2 at 6:30 p.m.
