She is the first back-to-back winner of the Gatorade Girls Player of the Year award and only the second player in state history to be named Ms. Basketball three times.
“I’m grateful for everything – these honors, my coaches and teammates," said Alexander.
Alexander is averaging 20.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.1 steals this season. She is 16th on the career Ohio High School Athletic Association’s girls basketball scoring list and is the OHSAA’s all-time scoring leader in state tournament games.
“I am proud of Dee and all that she has done throughout her career here at Purcell Marian. These honors are not only a testament to her talent, but her hard work as well,” said Head Coach Jamar Mosley.
One of Ohio's most decorated basketball players of all time, Alexander will play collegiately at the University of Cincinnati. In April, she will be the first Cavalier to play in the McDonald’s All American Games.
