Congratulations to our February Students of the Month, who were selected because of how they exemplify living out our Marianist Charism.
Amy has excelled over the last month in her classes and Mock Trial. As a student, she is a strong writer, a leader in the classroom, and an insightful thinker. Due to her efforts in mock trial, she is nominated for showing "Adaptation and Change."
Last year, Amy participated in Mock Trial as a witness. On the stand at the district competition, Amy made a mistake on cross-examination and got dinged for it, but she didn't quit. This year, Amy prepared for her role with new seriousness and learned how to provide evasive answers so that she wouldn't get impeached. Demonstrating a great rise in confidence, Amy acted out her character as a witness, bested the lawyer from Summit, and won the Outstanding Witness award at the Regional competition.
Tah'Sani is a constant light to all she meets. Every room she walks in, Sani is sure to greet everyone. She is attentive to all of her peers, knows everyone's birthday, and is always sure to check in when someone seems like they're not themselves. She makes sure everyone feels welcome and seen.
Tah’Sani truly cares for everyone she meets and creates a hospitable environment wherever she goes. She is deserving of recognition, especially for living out the family spirit!
Marling had a great first semester, and she wants the second semester to be even better!
She has adapted to the expectations of the classroom, has improved the way she prepares and engages in all of her course work, and has been outstanding among all so far this quarter.
