Purcell Marian High School is excited to announce Bethany Doverspike as Advancement Director.
"We are ecstatic to welcome Bethany to our Marianist family at the Castle," said Andy Farfsing '95, Principal and CEO. "Her experience guiding successful fundraising programs at renowned institutions across our city makes her a perfect fit as we work towards continued stability of Purcell Marian's tremendous future."
Bethany joins Purcell Marian from Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, where she spent the last three years as the Director of Development. While at the Playhouse, she executed the final fundraising milestones of the Directing The Future Capital Campaign, surpassing the $49.9 million goal to finance the theater's extensive renovation project. She also served as the Playhouse's Director of Institutional Giving, managing corporate sponsorship and foundation support.
"Throughout my career, I've relished creating connections and meaningful relations," said Doverspike. "It is a joy to connect people with their passion. I am excited to do the same with our family of alumni at Purcell Marian and ensure this school continues its mission to cultivate the best in each for the benefit of all."
Doverspike will oversee Purcell Marian's efforts in setting and meeting fundraising goals and implement new planned giving and major gifts strategies designed to meet the needs of the school, a powerful addition to Purcell Marian’s fundraising efforts. Her arrival enhances Purcell Marian’s development capacity at a time when the school is experiencing a sustained period of enrollment growth.
“Bethany is a wonderful addition as Purcell Marian continues to grow and thrive. I am thrilled to have a teammate whose strong background will build upon our team's forward momentum, " said Candice Jones Peelman ‘04, Director of Development.
Doverspike attended Northern Kentucky University, where she earned her MBA and bachelor's degree in psychology, both with honors.
She brings more than 11 years of community engagement and fundraising management to Purcell Marian. Bethany has served in Development leadership roles with Teach for America, The Cincinnati Museum Center, and 4C for Children.
