Led by Purcell Marian’s first Ohio Ms. Basketball recipient, sophomore Dee Alexander, The Purcell Marian Girls Basketball team won their second consecutive state title after beating Northwest 57-47 in the championship game.

The dream becomes a reality. Purcell Marian plays the first game at Staubach Stadium on August 18, 2023, before a sold-out crowd and countless past and present PM luminaries. Roger Staubach throws out the ceremonial first pass, and the Cavaliers beat Deer Park, 40-22, to officially open the stadium. The win propelled the Football team to an MVC Championship and a finish in the Regional Semifinals.

With a sold-out crowd at the 20th Century Theater and hundreds more alums and friends supporting from home, the Grand Event raised over $215,000!

The Class of 2027 marked the second straight class of over 100 Outstanding Among All Students and had Purcell Marian at enrollment capacity.

The Class of 2023 left the Castle and entered the world ready to be open-minded risk-takers, engaged global citizens, and pursuers of knowledge and new experiences.

We dedicated the playing surfaces of Staubach Stadium in honor of two dearly departed alums.

The Football Field was dedicated in honor of Guy “Bear” Barattieri ‘88.

The soccer field was dedicated in honor of Kellie Longeway ‘88

Purcell Marian was honored to help Gate of Heaven Cemetery celebrate the 50th anniversary of the last US combat troops leaving South Vietnam with a special tribute to Jack Freppon ‘66.

PM’s commitment to our service members is reflected in our salute to service on our new gym scoreboards.

International Baccalaureate at the Castle continues to grow. A record 85 Cavalier juniors and seniors are enrolled in at least one IB course this school year.

We welcomed alums from all of our family of schools - Purcell Marian, St. Mary, Regina, Purcell, and Marian - for a weeklong celebration of our grand old alma maters.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
